The COSMO CX Series is a professional spreader with a large hopper capacity, designed to spread a range of fertiliser over a wide width of up to 36m.
The COSMO CX Series is Italian made and careful consideration has been given to all components. Developed through extensive field testing it provides the operator with independently verified, accurate and uniform distribution of fertilisers.
The twin openings are independently controlled by double-acting hydraulic rams allowing the operator to spread single side (left or right) or full width. Manual regulation of fertiliser is combined with an adjustable ‘drop’ position and spring-loaded vane adjustment. To avoid damaging the fertiliser and to optimise the flow to the discs, the spreader comes standard with slow rotating agitators.

- Two (2) adjustable, stainless steel vanes per disc result in a precise spreading pattern
- Spring-loaded, quick vane adjustment system
- Slow-pace agitators avoid fertiliser overheating and/or breaking down
- Positive locking manual leavers to set application rate
- 12 – 36m spreading width
Hopper:
- Wide, rectangular shape tapers to the exits to minimise fertiliser wastage
- Hopper extensions are used to increase capacity from the 1,500ltr base model
- Internal hopper grate
- Hopper inspection windows
- Two exit points, one for each disc, provide the operator with left, right or full coverage spreading options
- Exit points are individually hydraulically operated via a double-acting hydraulic ram
Drive System
- PTO driven
- Series 4 PTO shaft with ratchet torque limiter
- Three (3) gearbox drive system
Construction
- Frame is constructed from folded thick metal components that are reinforced and welded to a box section frame to create a strong, one-piece design with a lift capacity of 3,200kg
- Category 2 double clevis linkage/mounting
- Stainless steel disc shields
- Laser-cut stainless fertiliser application rate plate
- Metal parts are undercoated with a two-stage polyurethane finish
